The Joy of Boisterous Hosiery

When I wear boots, I usually find myself giggling because of my secret. Most of the times, I wear socks that any sane person would never dream of wearing with what she considers a "nice outfit".

I suggest that if you are ever in need of laughter, purchase a few pairs of "immature socks", and wear them underneath a pair of fancy boots. No one will ever know except for you ;)

Of course, you can flaunt your socks, and add some humor to your everyday outfits. Laughter is the best medicine, after all, and I personally need at least a dose of laughter each day.

Semiformal

My winter semiformal was over a month ago, and I finally have the opportunity to post a picture of my dress:

I made the feather earrings myself, and I had to re-sew on all of the wooden beads onto my dress because they kept on falling off. I must admit, I had quite a number of puncture marks on my hands for the next few days.
The dance was overall quite fun, but my friend and I sat around and discussed some melancholy topics. For example, no matter how much we joked that we could be each other's "dates" and that we did not need boyfriends to complete our lives, it would have still been nice to be in romantic relationships... especially when the slow songs came on.
However, we also discussed some quite hilarious topics, such as what literary characters we were most like. We decided that my friend was Hamlet, and that I was Holden Caulfield (and that my tie skirt was analogous to Holden's red hunting cap).
Yet, my readers, I would like to tell you that you really do not need that "special somebody" to make your life better. If you're the type of person (like me) who has never been in a romantic relationship before, I would like to tell you that someday, you might find somebody absolutely perfect for you. At least, that is what I tell myself. As for now, I am focusing on my own life, and am aiming to go through each day working hard on schoolwork, but also to have at least a teensy bit of fun. Life should be worth living, and in this vast world (that we call Earth ^^), the opportunities are endless.

Exam

Greetings, my readers,

I apologize for not posting in a very long time. Being placed into a blender of SAT prep and schoolwork has proven to be quite strenuous for me.

...sooo, in honor of the stress that comes with school, I decided to post a final exam outfit:

I am officially addicted to my harem pants. I wear them when I jog, dance, take tests, go to sleep, and eat out. They are the most comfortable pants that I have ever worn, and I suggest that you readers invest in a pair or two.

I wore a sequined top because I wore this outfit on the last day of midterms. I went out somewhere afterwards.

I will now catch up on my posting, and have a wonderful Presidents' Day! ^^

My "go-to" outfit

Every female needs a "go-to" outfit for "fashion emergencies". I know that I sound like a standard, common, stereotypical woman right now, but it's true! What if someone suddenly tells you that you're going out in one minute! You need to throw something on quickly! Well, here is what I put on:

Vintage Jacket; Dress from one of those outdoor booths at the Santa Monica Promenade; Sandals (BATA)

Kurtis the Leaf-Bug

My friends and I were sitting around this past Wednesday morning. We were worrying about the tests and massive amount of homework we would have that day, but we were trying to laugh it all off. All of a sudden, we observed something moving... what was it? A LEAF-BUG! That leaf bug put a smile on my face. Thus, it was named Kurtis. I am worried that Kurtis is now squashed, but I decided to let him grow! He must face the responsibilities of an adult. Good-bye Kurtis! I'll never forget you!!!

ps: Sorry about the random splat of bird crap in the picture. I was so focused on capturing an image of Kurtis that I was blind to anything else!

The best accessory of all time

I'm sure that everyone is thinking that the "best accessory" is some sort of jewelry, purse, or even your dog. However, I will always believe that the best accessory is... A POKEMON BAND-AID! The Pokemon band-aids died of extinction around 9 years ago, but I possess two of the last survivors. I used one of them to protect a bleeding wound on my finger, and I am keeping the other as one of my most prized possessions. My friend saw the band-aid, and said that it "made [her] day"!

Of course a dog is an excellent alternative (though I do not like to think of animals as mere "accessories"). Animals have hearts, minds, and thoughts of their own! TREAT THEM WELL!

Masculiiine!

G'day my fellow readers,

I apologize for not posting in a while. The past two weeks have been a juggling act between schoolwork and rehearsals for my dance performance.

However, I DO have an outfit for you. I saw my hiphop teacher wearing these awesome baggy pants, and I saw them at American Apparel!

Tada:

glasses (Ray Bans); earrings (Clue jewelry); pink button-down (Ralph Lauren); red jacket (Armani); AWESOME pants (American Apparel); sparkly ballet flats (Steve Madden)

There is a bad-ass anime character that I LOVE. She's an outgoing detective, and she's quite a tomboy. She dresses a bit "boyishly", and she wears a fedora. I am determined to become more like her. Because she has super-short hair, I asked my friend if I should get a pixie cut. My friend gave me a very confused look, and said "DON'T. I like you with longish hair." Ah well. While that character is on the petite side, I'm more on the curvy side. However, I still adore this outfit and I like the subtle masculinity of it.

ps: My friends and I have this "guy thing/bromance" going on. We gave each other boy names, and I am now and forever will be Joe. My name's sweet and simple, eh? ;)
