My "go-to" outfit

Every female needs a "go-to" outfit for "fashion emergencies". I know that I sound like a standard, common, stereotypical woman right now, but it's true! What if someone suddenly tells you that you're going out in one minute! You need to throw something on quickly! Well, here is what I put on:

Vintage Jacket; Dress from one of those outdoor booths at the Santa Monica Promenade; Sandals (BATA)

Kurtis the Leaf-Bug

My friends and I were sitting around this past Wednesday morning. We were worrying about the tests and massive amount of homework we would have that day, but we were trying to laugh it all off. All of a sudden, we observed something moving... what was it? A LEAF-BUG! That leaf bug put a smile on my face. Thus, it was named Kurtis. I am worried that Kurtis is now squashed, but I decided to let him grow! He must face the responsibilities of an adult. Good-bye Kurtis! I'll never forget you!!!

ps: Sorry about the random splat of bird crap in the picture. I was so focused on capturing an image of Kurtis that I was blind to anything else!

The best accessory of all time

I'm sure that everyone is thinking that the "best accessory" is some sort of jewelry, purse, or even your dog. However, I will always believe that the best accessory is... A POKEMON BAND-AID! The Pokemon band-aids died of extinction around 9 years ago, but I possess two of the last survivors. I used one of them to protect a bleeding wound on my finger, and I am keeping the other as one of my most prized possessions. My friend saw the band-aid, and said that it "made [her] day"!

Of course a dog is an excellent alternative (though I do not like to think of animals as mere "accessories"). Animals have hearts, minds, and thoughts of their own! TREAT THEM WELL!

Masculiiine!

G'day my fellow readers,

I apologize for not posting in a while. The past two weeks have been a juggling act between schoolwork and rehearsals for my dance performance.

However, I DO have an outfit for you. I saw my hiphop teacher wearing these awesome baggy pants, and I saw them at American Apparel!

Tada:

glasses (Ray Bans); earrings (Clue jewelry); pink button-down (Ralph Lauren); red jacket (Armani); AWESOME pants (American Apparel); sparkly ballet flats (Steve Madden)

There is a bad-ass anime character that I LOVE. She's an outgoing detective, and she's quite a tomboy. She dresses a bit "boyishly", and she wears a fedora. I am determined to become more like her. Because she has super-short hair, I asked my friend if I should get a pixie cut. My friend gave me a very confused look, and said "DON'T. I like you with longish hair." Ah well. While that character is on the petite side, I'm more on the curvy side. However, I still adore this outfit and I like the subtle masculinity of it.

ps: My friends and I have this "guy thing/bromance" going on. We gave each other boy names, and I am now and forever will be Joe. My name's sweet and simple, eh? ;)

Halloween

I was inspired by the make-up in the Meadham Kirchoff Spring 2011 line. Though I cannot spend the thousands upon thousands of dollars on the spectacular clothing line, I can at least draw eyelashes. Thus, I am a cross between a Meadham Kirchhoff model and a ragdoll:

I am EXHAUSTED, and need to start my homework (instead of partying)... ugh... My educators: wherefore doth thou grant me so much work?

Greetings, my fellow readers. Here is my second free dress day outfit for this year. I hand-sewed the skirt myself (I made it with a bunch of old ties)!

Something's Fishy!

Hey my readers,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to post in a long time. As soon as school started, I was caught in a whirlpool of tests, quizzes, essays, projects, homework, etc... But I will try to post more often now that I have grown more accustomed to the workload.

Here is my outfit from the first free dress day of the month:

Fish Dress (Betsey Johnson); White Button-Down (Korea); Sandals (Korea); Dragonfly Brooch (Korea); Earrings Pinned to Shirt (Icing); Bangles

I ADORE Betsey Johnson. Her designs are daring, bold, colorful, flirty, and exciting! As with all designer clothing, her creations are expensive, but I got THIS dress at an outlet store (it was still pretty pricey, but it cost less than buying it for full price).

Thank you for encouraging us to take risks Betsey!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

School starts in a few days, and I'm a bit apprehensive. It is a little bit exciting to gather new school supplies (it symbolizes a fresh start), but this next year is going to be tough (high school keeps your brain working, that's for sure!). Well, I posted this because I wanted to inform all you readers that you should be excited because I promise that next year's free dress day outfits will be FANTASTIC! I promise! I already started planning what to wear... so I hope you're ready!
