Living in a Fairy Wonderland

When I saw this shirt, I immediately became transfixed. Since I was young, I have always been enchanted by dark fairies. I imagine them wearing dark eye-makeup and having a clothing palette of dark blue, deep violet, and black. They have a refined elegance, and their stoic nature makes them so mysterious! I can imagine a dark fairy wearing a shirt like this, or lying down in a field of flowers that have a similar color palette as this shirt does. I kept on looking towards it, and my mother got it for me as a birthday present! :D :D Oh, now that I am an admirer of dark fairies, I suppose I should enter more into my character and be more like :1 haha. A dark fairy would, of course, wear this shirt with a bell shaped dark skirt, but there was a high likelihood that I would need to sit down on the ground that day, so khakis it was! :) Also, my father was very generous and bought me a BEAUTIFUL Swarovski bracelet for my present. The crystals are enchanting and I love it! Now, for the story about the ring. My class had our ring ceremony this year (code name for: we got our class rings). I thought that the design for our class ring (from the school) was quite disappointing, and as my friend deemed it: "fugly"... Thus, my closest friend and I decided to get our rings together! :D I suggest that you, too, my readers, get your class rings with your best buddy, also, because every time I wear the ring, I am reminded of all the happy memories that I have with my friend and all of the funny jokes that we shared! :) ps: It turned out that the ring did not look all that terrible in person... >.> And that, is the story of my outfit.

The scent of summer

I wore this outfit on the last day of my finals... I wanted to show you... :) I made the dreamcatcher earrings myself! I also make these earrings as a project for my club. ^^ I run a club at my school called "Heart Hummingbird", and it is a club that designs t-shirts and makes jewelry to sell them. After we gather our money, we donate our money to charity. We donated our proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital this year. :D I am also in the process of creating a website for this club and setting up an Etsy shop! I will create a post about the website and the Etsy shop once they are completed! jacket (Romeo and Juliet Couture); earrings (hand-made by moi ^^); t-shirt (Heavenly Couture); skirt (Lapis)

Lolita in a more genuine form

Greetings, my readers, I wanted to inform you that, yes, I am alive. ^^; I apologize for the dearth of posts. As soon as school finished (and I finished my AP exams and my final exams), I needed to take my SAT Subject Tests, apply for internships, get interviewed for internships, and start writing my common application essay. Yes, these past 2 months were quite hectic. However, I will try to make my posts more frequent from now on forth. Anyways, I wanted to show you how I wore Lolita again on my school's next free dress day! I apologize for the previous outfit! I did not really do that beautiful Wa Lolita outfit justice. My coord was quite off... and I was wearing improper shoes... hee hee, that was me and my inexperienced first Lolita coord. However, I promise you that someday I will complete a proper Lolita coord and show you how a Wa Lolita is REALLY supposed to be. :) Meanwhile, here is the outfit I wore on the most recent free dress day: jacket and skirt (fanplusfriend); hat (vintage); stockings (American Apparel); Mary Janes (Steve Madden) This Lolita coord is reminiscent of Gothic Lolita (with the cross motif) and Steampunk Lolita (with the gray and black stripes). I bought myself a pair of more proper Mary Janes, and added the vintage hat as an embellishment! The Mary Janes are still not perfect, and they are a bit too tall for Lolita. However, I have quite wide feet, and finding the perfect Lolita shoes was quite difficult for me. I bought a pair of ribboned ballet flats in Korea recently, though, and I think that they will be more suited for Lolita. ^^ Of course, I expect that you readers are curious about people's reactions the second time I wore Lolita... There were obviously stares... and some bemused facial expressions... -_-. However, many people complimented me. :D My friend told me that she "loved me for having the guts to wear my unique outfits". Thank you, Haley. :) Also, these two younger class-(wo)men came up to me and asked me if they could take a picture with me (being a frequent reader of Lolita blogs, I have read that strangers asking you to take picture with them is quite common). >.> However, I think that the girls' admiration for my outfit was genuine. :D I think that the overall reaction to my wearing Lolita was quite positive on that day. I believe that my school has become accustomed to expecting me to wear something quite "outlandish" on free dress days, so they are not completely surprised when I come to school donning clothes that defy normality. ;) Thus, I hope you have liked my second Lolita coord. ^^
